Banning is the ultimate sanction.

I thought there was a well established disciplinary system around here.

Stage One, slice off the 8 fingers and make the forumite type with their thumbs
Stage Two, trim off two limbs (of forumites choice)
Stage Three, written warning
Stage Four, a very stern telling off from Tojjer, whilst duck taped to a crush rail in the Babs
Stage Five, 12 hrs exclusion.
Final stage, user account transferred to the Dorch forum.

Some forumites do reform, as so ably demonstrated by Viagra Tim.
And I will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: I will also bless thy children, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy Marstons Pedigree, and thy olive oil (infused with garlic), the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he swore to thy fathers to give thee.

moderation is a form of censorship, yes, but it IS essential on a public forum..

or should I say soon to be WAS in the case of this one..

I for one would much rather have a moderated forum suitable for family viewing than no forum at all but that is my own opinion..
