I feel really guilty for using his head as a football while he was having a lie down now. No.6 doesn't.

Seriously though, hope he's up and about soon Tim and giving you headaches. Get well soon Luke.

Luke wants me to go to the game, probably gets bored talking to a fussing dad, but we'll have to see if and what time his op takes place.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Bloody Hell

Tim

Me, My Mum and Kieron gave him a lift from the marsh to the station, he looked a bit peaky in the car but could not have foreseen this!! feel a bit bad for not offering to take him all the way home with public transport being the way it is this weekend! :(

Dad having a hernia himself a few years ago know what it's like to see :( What ward is he on? if he would appreciate a visit?

Thanks for the thoughts.

We don't know, yet, whether he'll be operated on today, or not, as his cough might worry the anaesthetist. When I know anything further, I'll post the news.

I'm glad I took him off when I did now!! He didn't look too well, but like Calan said, no-one could have known how bad he was feeling, he probably would have carried on without a complaint the little trooper!

All the best to him for his op,

Corbz :D

Thanks for asking, Lyn. Yes he was at the game, but is quite poorly. They discharged him at lunchtime, but he still needs an op to repair his hernia, which they were going to do as an emergency today, but they have found something else, for which he needs a scan and he needs an appointment for that. We're probably going to pay for his treatment, or else he could be in discomfort for some weeks and unable to do very much.

These things always seem to happen at a weekend or on a bank holiday, just like a burst pipe!

He's got a burst pipe?

Promised update.

Luke has a scan tomorrow and will see the consultant on Thursday, presumably to book his operation.

He's on antibiotics for his cough, which is so bad that his hernia pops out and he has to lie flat and push it back in. He's a brave lad, far braver than his dad!

Hopefully he'll bet fit to watch us beat webbed feet on Saturday.

Luke's op is in about 2 weeks, so as not to miss any games (only kidding!). No more sport for 2 months, sorry Corbz!
